The Conjured Realm Home of the Smoke __________________
Somewhere between the sunset and peak of the moon lies the Conjured Realm. Created in the Flamecaller’s breath during it’s fierce disagreement throughout centuries of war with the other deities, the Realm became a place for dragons to go when they were rejected by the gods.
At first, the Conjured Realm burned too hot for any elements other than fire. Dragons took refuge here when their clans banished them. It was a home for the fire breathers whom even the deities turned their backs too. The landscape was molten and rocky. In the early centuries, dragons could not shift into human forms for they’d perish in the heat. Over time, the Shade made its home there when the deities defeated it. Every dark tendril seeped into the realm until it had become an essential part of it. From this darkness, a goddess rose to protect this realm from the deities who had defeated it. A goddess of Smoke and Shade, called the Goddess of Smoke. An ancient being of immeasurable power and control over chaos itself helped build this Conjured Realm into a safe haven. Over time, parts of the world changed. Places cooled, forests sprang from the earth, oceans formed and mountain peaks turned icy cold. Dragons of all elements joined the Realm. Slowly, a Kingdom formed to govern the growing clan. The early days of the Kingdom of Valeria saw rebellion and tribulations of all sorts. A group of dragons who worship the eight deities made their way into the Conjured Realm, slaughtering and decimating the world until the primordial goddess was forced to step in and take her revenge. From the ruins, the dragons that survived had to rebuild. They vowed to close the doors to their realm, to protect themselves. A selection of those from the Conjured Realm could create portals between their Realm and the Realm of the Eight- as they call it. They serve as recruiters, holding a presence in the Realm of the Eight in order to recruit more dragons to the Conjured Realm. The dragons in the Lair are those in the Realm of the Eight. Those in the hibden are in the Conjured Realm. Mages bring recruiters to their Realm after they have served the clan for a long while and proven their loyalty. To help this process, the Goddess possessed a hatchling so that she may stay in the Realm of the Eight unnoticed by the deities. With the goddess walking among them, the dragons of the Kingdom of Valeria become a formidable weapon. Fueled by the ancient magic of the Shade, the dragons harnessed chaos magic. To become part of them, is to live forever, to defy the Eleven deities, and make a home with the darkness. |
