found in the canyon as a hatchling, separated from his family.

was taken in by buteo, when he had nowhere else to go, on the condition that he help out around the coalition. buteo trained him in scouting and lookout duties. (velox doesn't know this, but when the time comes, she'll teach him to shoot, too. he loves watching archery practice.)
