Kind of loving the chaotic vibes for this guy. I can imagine he has some mental issues.

I may have had this guy for an hour or three but I'm JUST noticing that he's Shadow, not Arcane. XD; Also, that he can't breed until April 1st...is just funny. Hmm... His colors are actually like a combination between Plague, Shadow, and Arcane. HMMMMM....

About

Psycheros: The whole. When referring to the dragon as a whole, this name is used.
Psyche: The head. Studious and intellectual. He has sweeping horns and three eyes. Loves to read.
Eros: The heart. Impulsive and emotional. He has round horns and two eyes. Learns by interacting.

Each expresses his curiosity in his own way, but both heads are highly curious. They put no emphasis on "getting stronger for the sake of getting stronger," which is especially strange since they were among the Aberrations who lived in the Wyrmwound. Both heads deal with existential and identity crisis often (and are unaware that the other also deals with this.)

Getting Better

"Lookit! We're here!" the head with the rounded horns exclaimed, looking every which way as he tried to take in every new sight and smell.

His other head loosed a weary sigh, trying to ignore the lashing one of their tails as it jerked his own this way and that. "Yes, Eros, I know."

The two-headed dragon had been all too eager to leave the Scarred Wasteland behind. Though many of their kind were devoted to strengthening themselves more and more in the hopes of surviving yet more and more, Psycheros was different. They had always been more focused on the inner self than the outer self. Honestly, it had been downright maddening being so different in philosophy to all the other "Aberrations," as the "modern breeds" called them. Being met with odd looks, scoffing, and the others always being in agreement against your ideals... Well. Both heads of Psycheros naturally kept returning to the same thoughts. "Are we, perhaps, wrong?" "Is there something wrong with us?" "Who are we, really?" "What is true or false in this world?"

Though Psyche was the intellectual of the two, he still struggled with his feelings as a result of these thoughts. In the same way, though Eros wasn't good at processing deeper thought, he couldn't help but try to understand and answer these deep questions. The ironic thing was that both heads were so consumed by their own thoughts and feelings that they never really realized that the other was likewise struggling with the same questions and pain. Psyche always assumed that Eros had no deep thoughts, and that he alone was burdened with them. Likewise, Eros thought that because Psyche never expressed his pain that he never felt it.

Due to thinking the other head could never understand what he was going through, neither ever shared this with the other, causing their misconceptions to only reinforce and persist. They both even felt a certain sense of never-expressed inferiority to the other. Eros admired Psyche's intellectual prowess and in comparison, thought that he, himself, was stupid - maybe even incapable of understanding all the mysteries that Psyche seemed to grasp with ease. Psyche, meanwhile, envied how easily Eros lived in the moment, without being troubled by the deeper things in life. Neither head saw a need to confirm their impressions about each other, and so both lived with these assumptions.

They did talk enough to know that neither was satisfied among the more traditional of their kind, though. So, the dragon began trying to figure out their place in the world...and discovered tell of the Starfall Isles.

A place full of the strange and wonderous, where dragons are always trying to discover and understand new things... It spoke to Eros' excitable curiosity, and Psyche's constant thirst for learning. They were immediately drawn into fantasizing about the place. A place where the strange and wonderful were approached eagerly -- perhaps with more curiosity than sense -- and, honestly, a perfect place where the Aberration would be accepted, both for their ideals and in spite of their rather...unorthodox physiology.

Unlike usual, both Psyche and Eros were in complete agreement: they would begin a new life in the Starfall Isles.

Whatever new future you go into, however, your past is still where you're coming from. "Caution" wasn't much of a concept in the wasteland, despite at least Psyche being much more measured. Eros was a "learn by experiencing" kind of dragon, and often times, he would be barreling straight into something before Psyche could gain the presence of mind to stop him. That was how Psycheros managed to get tangled in some particularly powerful flows of magic some students of Sornieth's magic lines were studying. There were some bright lights and a chaotic upheaval of magic, and then an explosion... Not exactly unusual for the area, but still alarming since a dragon had gotten caught up in the middle of it. And when they stepped out -- dazed and unable to walk in a straight line initially -- it was found that Psycheros had lost his magical ties to Plague's element...and instead, had taken on the magical alignment of Shadow.

After recovering and talking with the researchers, both heads were actually kind of left mildly disgruntled. True, this was some sort of miracle, but they would have much preferred to have been turned into an Arcane dragon. That was where both of their hearts were, really. As it turned out, though, one of the magical lines they had tripped over was the main Shadow vein, so that was probably why that was the element they had gained. It was also speculated that a reason they had lost their previous element was because they held no feelings of connection to it whatsoever. There was also that a weaker vein of Plague had been involved in the crossing of the magic lines, so it had, perhaps, naturally swept up whatever Palgue magic had been in their body, and the Shadow magic simply filled the void. Naturally, some of the more reckless students would try to recreate the event to see if it was possible to change one's element in a controlled environment, but as for Psycheros, that was all the involvement they subjected themselves to. After that, they went to an archive, where Psyche studied (one of his favorite things to do) and Eros napped (his favorite thing to do while Psyche was studying.)

Fractal Feature

Once, Psycheros encountered a strange, magical creature in the form of an Undertide named Prism. The full story only lasted a few posts, but it can be found here.

The end result was that Eros was put through a hard time, but ultimately recovered. However, Psyche resolved that if he ever encountered the little creature again, he would enact his vengeance upon it by capturing it, taking it to a study ward, and letting the scientists of the Starfall Isles learn everything that they could about it in order to demystify its powers, so that it couldn't hurt anyone ever again...providing it survived whatever testing it would undergo.
