The Sea Captain with no Ship
"This is just an unfortunate setback," the captain explains. "I'm sure my crew will bring the ship back around soon. They are just testing its seaworthiness! Yep. Any day now."

He is one of the captains that frequent the Port. Is friends with Inon and Savik. Surlly thing, firm. Has recently run across a setback (his ship was stolen by his crew), so he's stuck in Port Wildwind with nothing to his name. Will kinda be based on the history of Captain Kidd.

The rat's name is Spot. He's been with the captain since he got his first ship. In fact, he came with that ship and Kirill spent the better part of a year trying to kill him. After that first ship ran across trouble (it was a small ship, with close quarters, so it was easy for one of the sailors to contract a nasty illness and spread it through the entire crew). Kirill was left alone and Spot was the only one around to keep him sane. After two months adrift at sea, having only a rat as company, he managed to forge a bond with said rat. This might be to his benefit because Spot is very smart and Kirill has managed to teach him several tricks.

The pet rat does not aid this captain's reputation as a drake of uncanny bad luck. Most sailors avoid him like the plague. Very few are brave enough to get to know the unlucky captain.

Dumbo Rat Spot
An ever faithful companion to our unlucky captain. After spending a year avoiding Kirill's attempt to kill him, he found himself drawn the the captain. Or perhaps, the captain was drawn to Spot. Either way, the two have an unbreakable bond now... until someone else has the cheese, then loyalty goes out the window. Priorities! Spot has them.
