______ Hailing from the far reaches of the Tangled Wood, Amaranth is a professional photographer going wherever the coin is. He’s seen all kinds of people in his line of work, and enjoys meeting new people and hearing what stories they have to tell. Amaranth has a burning curiosity that often takes him headfirst into danger - the time where he managed to successfully photograph the first risen Emperor in centuries and had away with his life intact being the most notable.

______ Amaranth met his future mate, Sahara, when some rather prejudiced members of the Light Flight were blocking his entry to the dig site he’d been hired to photograph the findings of. Now, the majority of Light Flight dragons were quite nice, if he said so himself, but unfortunately, he was more than well acquainted with the prejudice some held against his Flight. Sahara, who he would later find out was quite talented in whipping up mobs, managed to rally the other archeologists and bully the light-born dragons into letting him through.

______ While the two started out with just a professional working relationship, their work inevitably brought them back together when Amaranth took another job from the Dragonhome Preservation Guild. As time passed and their friendship grew, Amaranth found himself actively seeking out those jobs in order to have an excuse to spend time with Sahara. Eventually, they fell in love, and swore to spend the rest of their lives together.

______ Amaranth’s familiar is actually a gift from Sahara; she unearthed it on one of her dig sites with Arlo, and after a quick trip to Baldwin later, the little dinosaur was resurrected from the dirt. Amaranth immediately fell in love with the little guy, and the then newly-named Leo has been with him ever since. Not as cool as getting one taken back in time, perhaps, but still cool - after all, this is resurrecting a fossil from the dirt we're talking about. Since when is that not cool?
