Biography
Sylph
______________________________________________________________________________
Perhaps, for this one, it's best to just cut to the chase. Sylph is an occultist apprentice of Blanc who rejects the divinity of the traditional eleven deities and worships the horrorterrors imprisoned deep underground the Southern Icefield, or, in her case, the Snowsquall Tundra. Sylph always felt a connection to these terrifying eldritch deities ever since she was young enough to know they existed—she grew up around the Thorndark Altar, one of the darkest places in the world, and once she met individuals that shared her mindset she knew she was destined for something greater. And so, after many years of cracking the code on how to get in, Sylph became a guard and worshiper of the horrorterrors that are imprisoned beneath the Snowsquall Tundra, a secret prison which no soul except for those inside know about, secret even to the Icewarden. She is not fully considered a member of the Watchmen, the rebel Gaoler order who started the prison in the first place, but Sylph does not particularly mind. As long as she gets to worship and serve the beings she sees as greater than anything else in the world, and help in preparing for those beings to be released one day, she could truly not care any less.
Another notable trait of Sylph is that she is the dutiful apprentice of Blanc. Blanc has been serving the Watchmen order for countless years now, and has presently been passing his training in worshiping and serving onto her. Sylph sees Blanc as one of the main beings in her life that aided her in realizing her purpose in existence, and for that, should disaster ever strike, she swears to carry on his legacy. She and Blanc actually make frequent excursions to the clan of Gelida, the clan which sits on the land miles above their prison who's supposed cluelessness helps keep their chambers secret. Under law, Gelida is the clan Sylph is a part of; though this technicality means little to her. She is required by the Gaolers to visit from time to time and check that they have not caught on. Blanc is quite involved in Gelida when he comes around, and makes an effort to appear as helpful and inconspicuous as he can, but not Sylph. Sylph knows that the reason for all of these mindless dragons' existence is far beyond the Icewarden they worship. She sees no reason to even pretend to care for dragons who worship false gods.
