A fortune teller by trade. Anaster enjoys all things dedicated to "seeing the future", a hobby that he started when he was but a hatchling, and continued into adulthood, turning it into his job. He finds it endlessly fascinating that a deck of cards, some soot in a bowl, or even the stars in the sky may predict future events, although he acknowledges that it's an imprecise science at best, and complete confirmation bias baloney at worst. Still, even if it isn't real, he finds it nice to shuffle his deck and lay out his day for himself to try and give it a positive spin where he can, or soothe anxious people with optimistic interpretations of his reads.
Most of all, while he does read the future of his clients, he does like giving them practical advice alongside it. If someone complains that they've been feeling stressed and depressed lately, he'll do their reading, of course, but also hint that, perhaps, they can take up a nice hobby, like hiking! Or if they're really worried, perhaps they should see Ulisis, or even Azazel, since they are, you know, actual healers of the physical and mental kind respectively.
Anaster runs a little fortune telling shop, where he also sells crystals to his clientele (or to anyone who wants them, really). Some of them, magically imbued with special powers, others just to look pretty. Regardless, whatever you want out of a crystal or gemstone, he probably has. Collecting crystals and gemstone is a side hobby of him, one that he enjoys sharing with Zem, the local archeologist. Being a sandsurge, he uses his digging abilities to travel around underground to find the finest crystals.
Finally, Anaster is mated to Suni, the finance controller. While their personalities may seem like they clash, Anaster's generally calm and collected demeanor, as well as his mystical abilities as a fortune teller, seem to soothe Suni when she's stressed from her job. Likewise, Suni's high-energy peps up Anaster when he's feeling a little lethargic, so they balance one another out nicely.
