Yup, that's right, I showed up here about the same time Arum did, and it seems like for the same reasons. Must be some weird interdimensional bugs in the system we were using.

Well, yeah. I lived with a weird little critter too, and it seems like it was the same one Arum made friends with, only somehow they met years before we did. I guess teleporters do have a way of messing with time.

I hear Arum and our critter fought the spider? Well that's darn impressive, critter and I never made it that far. We had a few minor accomplishments of our own, but my companion wasn't terribly interested in fighting by the time we met, and I wasn't really either.

I was more of a racer myself. Critter made a great navigator, I carried racing cargo, and a gryphon name Ghost was our defense. Between the three of us, we managed to win a pretty decent number of races!

We were moving to a larger arena when we were separated.
It was pretty upsetting at first. We were having so much fun, and my team had become like family, but I guess that is a common hazard when meddling with magic.

Perhaps I will run into them again some day? Until then, I think I'll face my fears and learn how to fight. Arum has offered to train me, and I guess we do share some common ground.

Branch here has served as color inspiration for a character in a story I'm working on, Hail.
