Altarf "Tarf"
Clan Elder ◆ Plague Representative
Grumpy, irritable, and crude, Tarf is the clan's resident curmudgeon. He often complains about the habits of his clanmates, and frequently calls their level of intellect into question, yet he bears them no ill will. Perhaps that is why he remains so beloved, despite his sour disposition. The other Moondolls have a great respect for his opinions, loud though they may be, and it is that respect that quickly earned him a seat on the Council of Elders. That, and his relationship with Rezi, one of the clan's founders. He and Rezi are mates, though they willingly take breaks from their romantic involvement with each other if someone else catches their eye.
Tarf had a special bond with his daughter Ambition, who was the only offspring of his and Rezi's to remain with the clan for an extended period of time. However, Ambition decided to answer to a higher calling and enter the service of the Shadowbinder. This left her father heartbroken.
Still wounded from Ambition's abandonment, Tarf finds comfort in his other daughter, Emmeline. He also developed a strong paternal affection for Volaan shortly after the other dragon hatched.
