A swamp hag from the driftwood delta between the Shadowbinder's and Tidelord's domains. The spitting image of her mother, she spent most of her days continuing her family's trade of collecting herbs and appearing to lost and injured dragons in times of need. In her older age, she became a hermit and withdrew from most of dragon society. However, after the events of the Great Storm that churned up the Sea of a Thousand Currents, her home was besieged by hostile Beastclans who accused water dragons of creating the cataclysm that destroyed their homes and displaced them. Bravely, Hyl taught herself the art of defense in order to fight off intruders to her tiny abode. After many months, she found herself surrounded, both by Maren from the seas and Serthis from the land. She relented and took to the skies, giving up the home she spent so much of her life cultivating. Her beloved swamp now far below her, she wondered where her destiny may lead her next...

Hyl has found home in a young nature clan. Using the battle skills she learned during her hermitage, she has begun training young dragons to defend themselves...
