Biography
The red skydancer creeped closer. An egg. She thought.
Footsteps.
She moved like a lightning bolt. Vulture snatched the egg up into her arms, and flew off. As she was flying, a small crack appeared. Vulture took no notice. A soft, chirping sound came from within, but the wind in Vulture’s ears made it impossible to hear.
Once they arrived, Vulture landed onto the edge of a volcano.
“Smokey,” She called. “Take this egg somewhere warm, I would like to use the hatchling within as a healer once they grow older.”
A tundra walks over. “Yes, Vulture.”
Vulture smiles, and flicks her wrist in a way which clearly said that the conversation was over. But the tundra doesn’t leave. A spark of annoyance begins to show in her eyes.
“Uh, Vulture?”
“Yes?” She flicks her tail inpatiently.
“Uh, when the hatchling hatches, could I maybe..adopt them as my own?”
A smile curves Vulture’s lips once again. “Why, of course!” She chuckles. “You would make a brilliant father for the little one, and I’m told that you have great healing skills.”
Smokey smiles. “Uh, thank you!” He says, before gently taking the egg out of Vulture’s hands, and slowly bringing it towards his chest, like a soft hug.
Crack.
