That's not his real name, but that's cool.

He existed as a dragon, than an offsite character only, and when his old dragon went up for sale, he wound up as both.

He exists squarely in hammerspace, as nowhere else could really hold him.

As Everid is a hybrid FR/non-FR character, not all of his information is site-friendly. Thus, this bio might look a little. Like there are chunks missing. Because there are.

- Hatchling Biography
Everid was born very clearly not looking at all like his mother, nor her husband.
She quickly dropped him off at the doorstep of a neighboring clan, hiding her own infidelity and saying he had not survived hatching.

- Adolescent Biography
He was not treated kindly by those who took him in, and was quick to run off once he had enough understanding to do so. He tried to survive on his own, hunting what he needed out in the wood. He was not particularly successful and soon turned to mercenarywork to afford basic necessities. He grew to be a large and intimidating dragon, and was later hired to put his fearsome looks to use.
Later still, he would be hired to eliminate other dragons. He was successful in that, and at the time could hide his trauma well. It became his go-to work.

He would later be hired on by Clan Amberspire as a soldier due to his notoriety.

- Adult Biography

Everid spent much of his late teens/early 20s as the subject of mockery and abuse amongst the crystalline castle's most sordid of soldiers, in the barracks where there was little to no regulation.

Though he endured it at the time - being of the mindset he genuinely deserved to be treated in such a way after the mistakes he had made - and eventually a heavy crackdown on the barracks' management sent his worst abuser away, there were extreme lasting effects and trauma which only served to worsen his already volatile and antisocial nature.

The coatl began to lash out violently with little provocation, vehemently against anyone being close enough to him to touch. He avoided going into crowded areas at all; including the mess hall and even group missions he was assigned to.

He faced expulsion from Amberspire's ranks.

But, in an unusual move motivated by pity, General Atratus signed himself on as Eventide's private trainer so he wouldn't be faced with homelessness once more. The decorated warrior had overseen Even's initial application, and noted his change in behavior in a more empathetic manner.

Eventide found himself with unusual freedom as a result, and took advantage of it. He spent more time traveling the woods at his leisure, in many ways falling back to his previous lifestyle as a hunter aside from mandatory check-ins within the clan's borders - and occasionally sleeping indoors.

He eventually built a tentative rapport with Atratus, but his self-destructive habits continued on, and it took an extreme near-death experience to finally make him see that there was something genuinely wrong in his head, and he had to change it.

He began to see the clan therapist, and later started taking medication as he started to try to wean himself off of his other, much more self-destructive coping methods.

This is, of course, much easier said than done. It was, and continues to be, a constant struggle.

Nonetheless, he improved bit by bit and refocused on his training with Atratus, eventually reaching his goal of becoming a combat trainer. He was able to move out of the barracks and into an apartment within the castle proper, where he lives in much-enjoyed solitude save for his ferberus, Smokey.

He has a long way to go in regard to his work as a trainer, and obviously doesn't expect to make peace with his past work - he killed people for gods' sake - but he's certainly the best he's ever been at being a decent person.
