Biography

Mad Scientist
"Turns out there's a reason for all those ethical restrictions, huh?"

FjVoWQj.gif As a hatchling, Elation displayed prodigious intellect and an insatiable curiosity for science and the arcane. A pride and joy to all those who loved him, it was evident he was bound for great discoveries, to bring knowledge further than was ever thought possible.

Genius, however, has a curious way of presenting itself.

He quickly moved up the ranks of the Citadel, earning himself the title of the nation's best scholar, each new groundbreaking discovery cementing his place in history. But as scientists know, each question answered leaves ten more in its wake - and at the centre of it all, the source of the so-called life force of dragons that gave them their sentience. Elation was intrigued with the concept. Where did it come from, and what made it unique? Could it be...repurposed? Taken from a dragon, and transfused onto other creatures?

Life, as it turns out, was not to be tampered with. The life force was incompatible with any non-draconic entity. Elation's experiments in transfusion resulted in grotesque monstrosities, hideously disfigured and unrecognisable, their suffering evident. The Citadel demanded him to stop, but he had to know more. Why wasn't it working? What made dragons so different? With the pressure from the Citadel mounting exponentially, he had no choice but to flee if he was to continue his research.

Now, hidden away in a cave of webs and rot, he continues to experiment with the life force, twisted and horrifying as it may be. He keeps his robes from the Institution, now a warped mockery of the status they originally represented. And despite everything, he is free, in some way. Free from the chains of morality, from the responsibility he once upheld, from the expectations of all dragonkind.

The world waits with great trepidation for the return of the Mad Scientist.
