Amongst the searing flames and thick ash of the furnace, Helsing spends the majority of his days crashing hammer upon hot iron and steel. Although a poor swordsman himself, he makes up in full with the strength and durability of his skilfully crafted metalwork that is forged with his own fire. On the few occasions that he is tempted away from his anvil, Helsing can be found in the clan tavern spinning tales and guzzling down a few tankards of spiced brew. Although his disposition appears to be one of commanding seriousness while forging, he becomes quite jovial in his free time, his thundering laugh echoing throughout the halls.

He finds his charge in Aveline and takes pleasure in the dominance that she asserts. Charge or not, Helsing recognizes that his protection is unneeded and that it is instead his affection that she desires. With much difficulty and a fair amount of time Helsing slowly lit a fire within Aveline that had long since been blown out.
