… Establishing in Yonderlan…

In such a hostile place as Yonderlan, information and schooling was not garunteed for a long time. But after protectors like Exalted and Asriel came and made the village from a struggling hideaway to a home Unity took it upon herself to build a library and school.

Before she fell into Yonderlan she was an esteemed nature professor and studied under the Arcanist himself. Now she trains the teen casters and teaches the hatchlings, all the while preserving what books are found or brought in as well as writing down everything she knows for future generations…

… Discovering pen pals…

Unity looked at the words she had on the page. It’d have to do, she can’t just keep wasting paper trying to get it right, each page took far too long to make from the silk webs her magic spun. She picked it up and focused on the words she’d fashioned into a spell. Magic worked so weak here it’s take all her concentration. She repeated the spell again and again.

Magic sizzled in the air around her as passing anything through the threshold of Yanderlan to go back to Sornieth took so much out of her. This time she needed proof it was actually reaching there and the only way she’d know is if an answer was sent back.

With a crackle and snap of green through the pink webbing surrounding her desk, the paper disappeared… She huffed as she felt so drained and got up to grab tea from the local herbalist to recover…

The pink silk made magic paper fluttered to the ground. No one around… it waited for anything to happen. And for over a week Unity waited for a response…



Time past so oddly in the pocket land. While it was mere days for the others sending to her it had been weeks for her. She recorded what she was brought and was in the middle of saving a wet text book that had been brought to her from the fishing trip some took that morning. Every book being too precious to lose.

It flashed and she fell back woth a yelp to see the pages stapled together fluttering down into her lap. She could have cried right there from the sheer relief.

It worked!

Someone had received her letter and responded!

She stood up and looked to the pages…

written on a somewhat torn piece of parchment that's been ripped because of failed magic


To: Professor Unity
I've received your letter. Where has it come from? What world are you in, if not Sorneith? I'm not the best at magic so apologies if this parchment is not in the best condition when you find it.

She found it curious that only the one page was singed and seemed to be all it’s own until she read the next…


My Old Friend,
I've been wondering where you've gotten off to, and now my heart is at ease when knowing that you're still alive. Albeit out of my reach still, but I will be working with Gloom in order to try and bring you back from wherever you've gotten yourself trapped. I will put all of the resources that I've collected in La Dame Blanche Manor in order to try and help you out.

Unity smiled at the page. How amazing it was that it managed to cross by an old friend.

She took some time to write two responses, but only knowing how to send it out and not for where she hoped that Gloom would send forwards the second to Jahl for her just as Jahl had sent Gloom’s to her.

In a flash of green among her webs the pink pages were sent off once more…
