This is the message sent with each basket of food:


At first you hear this unearthly howl that echoes over the isles - you think it might be some kind of music but are not sure. Then you see a speck that quickly resolves itself into a small double diamond formation of dragons flying under the Standard of the Earthshaker. In the front of the diamond, holding the Earth standard, is a coatl that is wearing a whole-body tattoo that makes him look like a woodland turkey. He consults a map he is holding as he slows his formation to circle over your lair. Behind him fly two colorful faes -- both holding long trumpets with the banners of the Earthshaker and your deity hanging from them. Between and slightly behind them is a black snapper female in pink spiky armor with a drum slung round her neck playing some kind of bag and pipe contraption that you assume must be either a musical instrument or a new battle weapon. Behind and to her left and right are two imperials, a male and female, that you recognize as Arcane subspecies CrystalSpines and Strawberry Moon respectively, both with many baskets slung over their sides and along their backs. At the far point of the double diamond is a skydancer female with multi-colored wings in a bandolier filled with many potions. They circle your lair, the snapper still playing the haunting shrill melody until they land, still in formation, outside your gates. Blessed silence reigns as the snapper puts away her pipe bag thing, that is, until the two fae unsling their trumpets, step forward and play a slightly out of tune fanfare accompanied by the snapper now enthusiastically beating a syncopated rhythm on her drum. When the “music” stops, the coatl steps forward, hands the Earth Standard to the snapper and announces to your gate guard, “We bear messages and gifts from Dragonhome, do you have someone who can accept them?”

Your gate guards send a panicked messenger to your clan leader who quickly arrives. Your clan leader, amongst a number of your clan mates, arrives to see what the commotion is all about. After a brief consultation with your gate guards, your clan leader steps forwards and says, “I am Clan Leader, speak herald of the EarthShaker and we will listen.”

The coatl nods and pulls out a scroll from his pack and sings out in a magically amplified voice:
“Ooooooyeeeeehz! Ooooooyeeeeehz ! Myyyyy loooords, laaaadiiiiies aaaaand geeeentiiiiiillll draaagooonzz! By order of our most gracious and compassionate lord and deity, Earthshaker, the Great Artaios, First and Eldest of the Eleven, Shade-Bane, Stone Guardian of the Pillar of the World, Lord of Sorrows, He that Endures, we are commanded to share with our friends and neighbors the wealth of a bountiful harvest during His Rockbreaker’s Ceremony Celebration. Thus we come bearing gifts of foodstuffs for your feasting tables this day. We also bear an invitation to guest in Dragonhome to partake of Rockbreaker’s Ceremony contests, games, feasts and other amusements.”

In an aside, the coatl whispers, " Sorry we are kind of late, we got a little lost."

He looks up at your Clan Leader, then rolls up the scroll and places it back in his pack. Your clan waits in stunned silence as the coatl steps back and nods to the waiting fae who quickly hand their trumpets to the pink snapper so they can unpack baskets from the backs of the two imperials and pile them in front of your gate. The coatl steps forward again towards your Clan Leader and holds out a sealed parchment invitation. Your Clan Leader accepts the parchment with a bemused smile.

The pink snapper hands the trumpets back to the fae and the Earth Standard back to the coatl with snappy salutes to each and then gets back in formation and grabs her pipes bag. With a hand signal from the coatl, in unison the entire Dragonhome formation bows to your Clan Leader and to your clan mates, then they step back three paces and launch into the sky in a mostly smooth motion to fly away as the snapper once again plays her pipe bag thing which wails out some kind of haunting sounds. Your clan waves and cheers at them as the small formation disappears into the sun, only the haunting melody floating in the air, until it too is gone.

“Shows over everyone,” shouts your clan leader, “let’s get these baskets of food inside!"
