Dashiell is intelligent and clever, with her silver tongue and confident voice she could just about convince a Coatl that they were a Bogsneak. Unlike most Pearlcatchers, Dashiell is very sure of her combat ability and will not shy away from a fight. Although she would still rather solve things peacefully. Like most Pearlcatchers, Dashiell values knowledge about dragons and clans above gold.

With the departure of Kage no Sekai's tutors, Dashiell decided to offer to fill the vacant role due to her love of learning. She was an obvious choice and Sevim had been intending to ask her anyway. Dashiell found the work suited her perfectly, as it was focused on teaching fundamentals, but also allowed her to study very specific subjects when a student asked.

Dashiell only joined Chromatic Daze on his annual trip because the tundra beat her in a philosophy debate, something that Dashiell takes very seriously. At the beginning of the journey Dashiell found little to interest her, that changed when they set port for the first time during the voyage. She had never spent much time around beastclan, but after hearing their unique ways of thinking and perspectives she plans to spend more time with the few beastclan of Kage no Sekai and keep an eye out for beastclan writings.
