But at night, when no one is looking...he comes to life.
A tiny tongue bleps out as his mouth opens and a warm gust of air pant out.
His tail wiggles to and fro excitedly.
Murder mittens begin to knead, massive toes stretching and relaxing in pure joy.
Green eyes blink open and look around his world with curiosity and wonder.
No dragon will ever see his true form. To all others, he will appear as stone.

But the smaller denizens of Sornieth - they see him.
Little paws scurry along the warm softness of him fur.
Tiny tails disappear into the warm nest of him hair.
Big ears perk up at the sound of him heartbeat.
Tiny whiskers twitch happily as he daintily pets his little friends.
