-Born in Lanterlea Port initially, he was raised the only adopted child of an elderly funeral director and had a relatively tame upbringing under their wing. Tame in the sense it was devoid of much drama or danger or mystery, not in the sense that is was boring and normal- his caretaker was an eccentric and strange one, and raised him with those same sensibilities naturally. But then, as he became an adult and took over the family business... things got complicated in the world around him. The bordering flights were growing more volatile and dabbling in more dangerous business, one of the worlds alleged Gods was said to disappear, ancient beasts were rising from death and legend, and his home was being ravaged by a colossal undead terror. While business was booming, it was an endlessly somber affair, having so many ceremonies to host without a body to remember them by... he always knew the work was grim. That it was a time of mourning in his homeland. But he'd always found a way to lift spirits, turn it to a time of celebration. Just... not anymore. And then- they came. The dragons who shared his face. Never before had Rhune seen another of his kind, but now they had flocked to the Sunbeam Ruins in droves from Dragonhome, having come to secure the threat Luminax presented- and they wanted him to join their ranks. He was one of them, after all. He was an Obelisk. A protector. It was his duty. Rhune did not see things that way. It was the straw that broke the camels back and he wasted no time in finally packing his things up to move far away from all the madness to somewhere they'd surely never bother him; some silly little village in the Starwood Strand. There, he re-established his business to fill a currently unfilled niche, and tried to settle back into a normal life again that ignored all the worries of the world.
-With everything that's been going on in the world, Rhune is a bit of a stressed out little man. But he's clearly doing everything he can to unwind and turn a blind eye to it for his own sake, covering up his worries with humor and kindly remarks, celebrating every occasion no matter how small, and doing his part to make the world a little less gloomy with kind gestures. Admittedly to most the ways he does these things is a bit odd though. His sense of humor seems rather dark or at times completely incomprehensible (no one understands that one joke about burning sages at all). His celebrations seem rather removed from the subject (what on earth is a "birthday cat"?) and seemingly random. And his gestures don't always seem to make sense at first or be immediately helpful, though they always come through in the end. But he's a good man. Even if it seems he'd prefer to take a backseat to things sometimes.
-Married to Sadie, whom he met when she applied to work as a gravedigger for the area and originally just worked in close relation to. But managed to make such relations closer with his charm~
