Lyell

A travelling merchant who takes pride in his wares, and usually tries to source the best items he can. He’s not, however, always entirely truthful about just where he gets them from. A little petty theft never hurt anybody, after all. And well, dead dragons aren’t going to need that necklace or brooch, are they? Primarily deals in gems and other precious stones. Jewellery as well. Will charge outrageous prices for even a simple gold ring. He’s extremely good at hyping up his wares, and can usually get somebody to buy something - even if he does seem to ask for a lot of coins. He’s subtle, however. He’ll never outright tell anyone to buy his wares - no, instead he’ll “suggest” that a certain piece of jewellery looks good or that bit of jade matches your eyes. Lyell knows that flattery is usually the best method of selling something, and to be honest, it’s fairly easy to come up with a compliment or even just a casual comment that might encourage someone to look at his items. In fact Lyell could probably convince someone to buy a piece of coloured glass. Pretty yes, but not at all valuable. Still, he doesn’t offer refunds. Sorry, but once you’ve bought it, it is yours. And Lyell? He’ll be travelling on, trying to find somewhere new to set up shop. It’s a rule of his that he never trades in the same place twice. Well…was a rule of his.
