The First Carian Astel was the very first of the Carian Sorcerers, those blessed with the power of the stars. In her younger years she often gazed at the night sky as she walked. She had always chased the stars with every step. It was her dream come true when a star fell just outside of her home that fateful night. Now she reigns as the First Carian, assisting new sorcerers in discovering their destiny. When she isn't busy attending to visitors, Astel dedicates a significant amount of her time to Seliana. She played a crucial role in shaping the town into its current form. Astel envisioned the town as a place where the mystic and mundane coexist harmoniously, where dragons could gather to learn, share, and cultivate their gifts, no matter what their origin was.

Although she turned down an official role within the Ivory Conclave, her contributions earned her the title of Duchess. She is now dedicated to spending her days at the town's school, where she educates hatchlings about everything related to space. From time to time, she also oversees magic classes. Her passion for the cosmos is infectious, captivating the young minds of her students as she weaves tales of distant galaxies and the mysteries of the universe. Her lessons are filled with wonder, as she uses her own experiences and knowledge to inspire curiosity and imagination in the hatchlings.
Her presence in the town has become a beacon of inspiration, and dragons of all manner often flock to her for advice and stories. Astel's legacy is one of hope and enlightenment, a reminder that a path to the stars is not always as far away as it might seem.
