Excelsior is a rash and energetic young cuss, who delights in playing pranks and trickflying around the elder and more soberly-minded members of the Skydancer corps. Although many folks find his antics annoying, it isn't difficult to make out the hefty layer of insecurity that underly them. Younger and smaller than most of the experienced members of the group, Excelsior is desperate to prove himself worthy of inclusion, especially since he was claimed at an early age to mate the beautiful lady Xifeng, an honor few believe he deserves or takes seriously. He has a substantial infatuation with Sunwing, and often challenges him with teasing or even outright flirtation, which the older drake takes relatively gracefully.
