By the time Savon and his siblings hatch, Vinity has already resigned himself to the warlike state of the clan now. Even so, he's reluctant to take up Tianyi's offer to train his young in combat. Savon's magical ability is apparent from a young age, but with Dawn so busy, it's hard to find time for her to pass along what she knows. Vinity does his best to educate, but scarcely understands the concepts himself. As such, Savon realizes quite early on that if he wants to learn anything, he has to take the initiative himself. Going from dragon to dragon in the lair, he asks to at least shadow them through their days. But he can never bring himself to stay quiet, instead asking question after question until the older dragons run out of answers. His self-directed education sees him learn weaving and healing, history and potion making. Much to his parents' distress, he also proves to be a powerful spell-caster on the offensive. Worried that he'll be drafted into the coming conflict, Dawn makes arrangements to send him away.
