Myrsilis has established herself as the most successful silk producer in Moshkaran. She owns a handful of greenhouses where she grows her own silkworm food and breeds larva stock, as well as contiguous workshops with a skilled crew under her employ to produce the fine silk her name has become synonymous of. She is a talented artisan and shrewd businesswoman.

Myrsilis grew up in one of the most fertile regions of the Shifting Expanse, near the Thunderhead Savanna. Her family had been in the silk farming business for generations, and she set upon herself to develop the familial trade beyond her homeland. She moved to the other end of the country to settle around Moshkaran, where the local microclimate would allow her to grow the plants her silkworms liked. However she didn't plan to merely replicate what she had been taught in another land. She got enrolled in the Botanical School there and, with the help of young genius Kalippos - also a student there - engineered for her thesis a new strand of plant that would serve as superfood for her silkworms, increasing the breeding rate of her stock as well as the production and quality of the silk. After an intense dalliance with Kalippos during their studies, she realized he was not the right fit for her, and she didn't want to follow him to Dragonhome where his post-graduate work was taking him. They parted amicably to each focus on their respective careers, although they would still spend time together on the rare occasions Kalippos was be back in town. |

| Kalippos was Myrsilis' school romance for most of their studies in botany school, and they even almost got engaged. However Myrsilis eventually found Kalippos too absorbed in his interests and lacking in maturity at the time. They have become mostly platonic friends since graduating, now only rarely spending the night together when Kalippos returns from Dragonhome. |

Myrsilis and Kalippos are not a romantic pair and they lead different lives far from each other. Kalippos is usually not involved in the education of the hatchlings; they would grow up with Myrsilis until they could pursue higher education in Moshkaran or elsewhere. Many of Myrsilis and Kalippos' offsprings developp an interest in the natural world and are very eager and quick to learn, succeeding in their chosen field as their parents did before them - although not all of them are as ambitious. Overall they tend to grow into well-adapted, confident individuals.
