Scratta's eyes, like most Plaguelings, have sharply pierced the world since the day she opened them. Her night vision is excellent, and she loves winding down in the dust of the Wasteland like a sidewinder, only her bright eyes visible like twin rubies gleaming in the dark. Sometimes the plague rats curl up beside her, making an unsettling carpet of boils and fur next to her lean length.

One night, one of Scratta's sisters, Vuurk, told her and their other sister Xalia she was leaving. The sisters had always been very close, and together the three vowed to travel together until they each found new clans, and new lives. Vuurk bound a pact between them, tied in threads of blood and locked with a shard of each of their horns, to always be able to find each other. With that, they left their clan and set out to search for the places they each would call home. Vuurk found hers first, and the two sisters continued on without her. Next, Xalia left her sister and settled with a new clan. Alone, Scratta was the last to make her way, hidden and tired, through the Wastelands and finally found her own place.
