This dragon’s doubt is nearly nonexistent. They have a good chance of being a great leader.

A bit of way from his clan, Mako spots the glowing light of a series of subterranean mushrooms. "This is it!" His head was spinning, dizzy with thoughts. Mako pulled out his bag and started going through his mental checklist. He was about halfway through the checklist when he heard his father's voice directly behind him. Normally Mako would have been startled, but he had grown quite used to his father's uncanny ability to move without a sound. "Mako, what did I tell you about running off to find a secret jungle?" Fins lowered in disappointment, Mako turns to face his father and retort. "But this time I really found it! It's right over th-" Mako is cut off abruptly by his father. "No, my darling. You are a full-grown dragon now, no more secret clan nonsense. You'll get yourself hurt, and I would be heartbroken." "But I'm not a kid anymore!" A gentle clawed hand reaches out to rest upon Mako's shoulder. "I know you're not, but until you move out on your own, you can't keep doing this. The clan leader has ordered it. " Mako tilts his head as he observed his father's fins and facial expression change to one of mischievous amusement. "That is, if you're doing it alone, of course!" The eyes of the young explorer lit up with joy that almost burst out of him. "You really mean it, dad?" Voodoo nods to his son and falls in line behind him. "Yes, now where's this cave? I'm ready!"

The two Mirrors walk side by side into the darkness of the cavern's mouth. The opening is quite imposing, and the entrance is guarded by hundreds of pointy, dripping teeth. "Careful, you do not want to step on those cave teeth." Mako chirped, having knowledge from previous forbidden adventures. The father nodded and carefully stepped around the spikes, a soft smile on his face. As the pair ventured deeper into the cave, the fog became increasingly thick around them. Soon it was difficult to see, and the air felt thick. "Perhaps we should turn back?" Voodoo inquired in a slightly concerned tone. "No way! We're just getting to the good part, you just wait and see!" Farther, and farther into the cavern the fog started to thin out once more. A gentle, chilling breeze washed over them. "I did not expect the caverns to be so cold," Voodoo whispered with a worried expression. "That's why I brought heat blankets! There's no sun down here!" Bounding farther ahead as the vision became clear, Mako hadn't yet realized his father was not keeping up.

Hearing a familiar sound, he rushed over to a spring within the cave. It churned and bubbled as water poured up and settled in pools under them. Mako took the opportunity the playfully slap at the pools, grinning ear to ear. "Hey dad look!" turning around, Mako soon realized his father was not beside him. His heart began racing, he retraced his steps and stumbled back into the room where they had first felt the fog clear. He scanned the room desperately and found a place where the walls were split open, just enough. "A Mirror could fit through here! But..." Mako moved carefully around the entire opening, gasping at what he saw. "You can only see it from one side!" Excitedly, he dashed through the hole, expecting to see his father. What he saw instead was breathtaking. Huge Mushrooms stood among smaller and smaller ones, taking the place of trees. Rivers and waterfalls cut through the entire cavity, illuminated from underneath by something unseen. The walls were covered in small glowing subterranean mushrooms and slime. "It looks like stars! This whole place looks like a foreign forest! It's beautiful!" Mako exclaimed as his excitement turned thoughts into words. His father reappeared behind him, reassuringly. "You were right, Mako. Cave exploring is pretty awesome."
