A wild, elusive beast of a dragon, Mahldor spends all of his time airborne, circling the shifting skies surrounding the lair. His wingspan is actually much wider than it seems, reaching several dozens meters. When he spots one of the lair's dragons in danger, he swoops down to cover them with his wings like a protective cocoon and uses a pure-black, star-speckled breath to discourage foes. It is said that the inside of his wings, when in a defensive position, is a window to untold spaces, and that the miracle of a star's birth can be witnessed there. Spotting him soaring overhead is considered to be a sign of good luck.
