With a trapper for their ma and a herbalist for their pa, it’s no wonder that the children of Annan and Cernnunos are often drawn to the forest themselves. They’re raised among the branches of the Forgotten Woods, taught to live with the changing nature of the forest instead of in fear of it.

Often, these dragons find themselves most comfortable with trees and silence for company, pursuing the work of crafters and foragers - good, solid work done with the body and the heart. Despite their love for their parents, they often travel far from home, looking for their own patch of solitude to settle down in.

The Forgotten Woods are full of all sorts of strange, and in Cateline’s opinion, wonderful plants, which her father has spent his life cataloguing and very carefully experimenting with. Cateline spent her childhood pestering him to teach her. In time, she moved from helping him with basic ingredient preparation to making her own poultices and balms, all the while taking careful notes in her very own herbal. Now, as an adult, she wouldn’t say she’s a miraculous healer - she’s not that strong a mage, and ‘sides, she’s of Dragonhome, and that sort of magic is most attuned with a nature or a plague dragon. But a little earth magic can nudge a body to remember, remember how it’s supposed to be, how it was before, how it was made, so she likes to think her remedies do the trick for most things. She’s learned what she can from her pa, though, and is thinking of heading on the road. New plants to find, new places to explore, and new people to help.
