HER LADY MAURA - THE QUEEN

The Snowpoint Tribe is a matriarchy, one of the few that any Flight has to offer. At Snowpoint's head is matriarch Maura, commonly referred to as "her Lady" or "her Grace." This leadership position is further pronounced by her familiar, a snowfall elk; the creature, while somewhat common, represents grace, power, wisdom, and even tranquility. Though he roams unrestrained among the tribe's lair, he is often following Maura as closely as a shadow.
Maura's origins are rooted in that of a separate Ice Flight clan, but she since moved to Snowpoint after proving herself an able leader. She is noble, elegant, and poised. Though young, she is more than qualified to lead the quickly-growing tribe, and has complete approval of her elder, Ingvildr. Maura can think clearly under pressure, and can do more than just "match up" to the power of the males in the tribe. She is intelligent, thoughtful, and above all, respected. It is as if she has no negative qualities.
Despite her busy schedule keeping up with the tribe and making decisions, she has managed to make a close friendship with her fellow Guardian, Dagr. Also, a small crew of glittering pink and purple frost faeries have made roost in the tribe's lair and flit comfortable about Maura's lithe figure.
