"When you track the steps you’ll find the power that you gave me."
"When you track the steps you’ll find the power that you gave me."
You may know Cloudscrape Cregs for their staggering heights, but have you ever thought about what's hidden below the earth?
Distracted by the mountains record breaking height, no one tends to wonder about the ghostly moans that can be faintly heard echoing throughout the sharp snowy peaks. No one ever knows why dragons never come back from their daring journey up to the top of this mysterious place.
Now my friend, let me tell you why...
At the very top of this glittering mountain, if you ever make it past all the dragons patrolling the untouchable area, hidden beneath all the frigid ice and snow is a entrance between the deadly peaks. You can only see a few meters in before the tunnel melts into a inky black abyss.
Five ancient dragons, almost as old as the deities themselves were handpicked by the great Icewarden himself to guard this sacred entrance. They rarely leave their post, frozen and unblinking as stone, sworn to keep anything from exiting or entering it with their lives.
You don't want to cross these dragons.
If you enter the abyss's shadowy depths and continue to follow the winding tunnels carved raw from the dark glittering ice, they go deeper into Cloudscrape Crags. The only light to guide you emit from a few withering torches of blue flame, they don't bring any warmth to this place. You'll find that these tunnels travel father and father underground until they are completely and utterly beneath the mountain.
These ghostly passages are filled with the sinister moans and shrieks of the imprisoned dragons that reside in these depths. The eerie noise will send shivers up your spine, as if a million insects were crawling and swarming across your scales. The further you go the less moans you hear and the less dragons you see lurking in their eternal cells of ice as they watch their lives slowly chip away. The paths become jagged and uneven as you venture further, jabbing at your talons. The air became thick and damp, but yet with each breath you suck in it pierce your lungs with frigid spikes of ice.
If you're not careful you could very easily get lost in this dark endless frozen maze, cursed to walk these tunnels and never to have the soft light of the sun caress your scales again. Doomed to wander alone.
Now, if you follow a specific path that goes far, far below the surface, the only sound is you will hear are your talonsteps and the only living creature this deep down is yourself. Or that's what you think.
You shall find yourself in a small, frozen cavern.
Thick metal bars shimmering with frost and rust clinging to them block anyone from entering the open space, a heavy lock with ice clutching to its metal like a warning prevented it from ever being opened without a key.
The only light here is a singular torch, it's strange scarlet flame flickering weakly as it sat nestled in a small hollow in the raw ice. The torch didn't provide much light, barely casting a sinister glow across the front of the cavern. It looked like it could go out at any second.
The space had a chilling and an unwelcoming vibe emitting from it, as if it was made to keep something vile and cruel away from the world above.
At first glance the cave would seem cold and empty. Another one of these tunnels mysteries.
But, if you dare to look closer you will be able to make out the figure of a dragon lurking in the shadows, their ruby red eyes glinting dangerously as they watch you with a calculating stare, trying to figure out how useful you could be.
Be careful not to get too close to the bars, my friend. Something might just grab you...
A slithering voice cut the thick frozen silence that filled this ghostly place like a dull rusty knife.
His voice alone filled you with foreboding terror.
Run, run, run little dragon... As fast as you can, get away.
"Hello there."
Things to do: Get this handsome guy to level 25, give him art, finish and write out his lore.
Soul is a very important dragon to me, I found him and his mate one day on the AH while looking for spooky dragons and immediately fell in love with them both. This little devil shall always have a place in my heart. ^^
