Biography
Far from the fortress, a lone torch shines like a beacon in the cold.
The fire blazes high to cut through the barren landscape. As you approach, a melancholic melody cuts through the roar of the flame. There are posters layered over every inch of the pillar, and various objects are strewn about the base. A smaller collection of green lights at the centre draws your attention. The lights shift; you realize there is a dragon beneath that fabric and glow.
The fae sitting cross-legged at the base of the torch turns its spiral eyes on you, pinpricks of orange under its mask and hat. Once it is satisfied with whatever it has seen in you, it turns its gaze back down to its lyre.
"Warden's that way," it drones. Its voice, though monotone, is not unpleasant; it's soft, as if unwilling to interrupt its own music. Claws continue to mindlessly pluck at the strings. When you linger in the warm glow, its eyes shift back to you.
"Can stay a while, if y' want. Take a seat. I've got a song or two more."
It hums. "Or if you've got something for the pile, you just toss it right in."
