Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this nervy necromancer wandered a little too far from his home lair (Zikul, 12962), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, the hub if you don't want a traveler in return, the game dragon swap or the LOST swap thread. |
Pigeon was born a nomad, following the flow of life through the treacherous deserts of the Stormcatcher's domain. His parents did their best to provide for him, and he grew up to be smart, daring and cunning. His belief is that lightning is the source of all life, and that lightning can also bring the dead back to life, and his travels aim to find places where experiments can be performed that will prove this theory.
Pigeon wandered a bit before finding himself at the Sunbeam Lanternhouse. Its residents were friendly... to a point. Maybe he was not quite circumspect enough in his inquiries. In any event, as their reception towards his ideas cooled, he found himself the sharp interest of a fellow traveler: Judgement. She had shrewd, incisive questions for him, and he found himself falling for her intellect, even though he had a nagging sense that she was laughing at him. Her grin when he asked her to nest with him was just a sliver short of feral.
He was able to ignore his feelings until their daughter was born. Though absolutely precocious and interested in everything, she was born very frail. Judgement deemed her contemptible. Shocked at her blatant callousness, Pigeon sought Gemma's advice on how to protect his daughter.
Whatever the Lanternhouse's views on necromancy, their views on hatchlings' well-being were unambiguous: Judgement was driven from the premises with the warning to never come back.
Though he appreciated that the Lanternhouse's residents had taken such a strong stance on behalf of his daughter, Pigeon wasn't sure he was comfortable raising her among them, either, given their lukewarm attitude towards his scholarly pursuits. He opted to take her with him and continue his travels.
Pigeon was able to safely raise his daughter in the Singer's Brook Business District, where she had a fun but largely uneventful childhood. He found no need for his necromancy there, though, so it would be time he moved on.
Pigeon travelled to the Plague domain, where he found a hidden clan. The residents of Murky Hollow welcomed him, made a spot for him to sleep, and to live. They weren't bothered by his profession. As a matter of fact, Murky Hollow housed their own necromancer, ShanMei. ShanMei taught Pigeon a lot about the art, including loads of things he had never realised he'd never known.
While enjoying his lessons with ShanMei, Pigeon's eyes kept falling on another dragon, SiZhe. She truly was a most beautiful female, and when she asked to nest with her, Pigeon didn't even hesitate.
However, horror struck before they could find a nesting place. The dangers of the Scarred Wasteland caught up with them, and SiZhe got swept away by some monsters. It took some time for Pigeon to find her again, and when he did, it was too late.
He called out for ShanMei, and together, they bundled their powers and brought back the beautiful SiZhe. She looked a tad different than before, but she was and stayed the same loving pearlcatcher.
SiZhe gave Pigeon three hatchlings. Pigeon loved them with all he was.
However, the longer he stayed, the more longing he got to go back to travelling. He'd enjoyed it, and however much he enjoyed this life with SiZhe and their three little ones, he wanted to see more of the world. SiZhe understood, and ShenYe decided to come with him.
And so father and daughter set out into the world.
