"Step. Back."

Blood's early life was one of turmoil. Taken from his nest by scavengers, the young hatchling was 'raised' in a clan that valued strength over all. With no parents to guide him, the 'new blood' was left to the mercy of his warlike 'clan'. He trained and fought, his daily survival depending on him being able to defeat anyone who wished him harm. At times, it seemed like his very blood rebelled against him. It was both too thin and too thick, painful clots rising towards the surface of his skin at any bump or bruise. But he endured.

When he grew old enough, he struck out on his own. For a time he lived on his own, fighting his way across the Wastelands in order to survive. It was during one of his few moments of socialization with other dragons that he heard of another like him. A Skydancer dragon with blood that rebelled against the body.

Blood debated searching for this other. It was a level of trust he wasn't sure he could give. But he found his way to Bloodhaven anyway, if just to satisfy his curiosity.

When he met Thrombin, it was like looking in a mirror. Blood may have had more scars than the other Skydancer, but they could have been brothers. Only Thrombin's knowledge of his past convinced the two they weren't. But clearly the pair were connected all the same. Their bond was cemented in blood.

Blood was wary about joining with another in a clan. But as others arrived, the dragon began to feel like he was needed. Some of these arrivals had little training in warcraft. And with the ever growing promise of Hatchlings, this growing clan would need a guard. A warrior.

Blood may have been abandoned to war in his youth. But he swears, by the might of his spear, he'll not allow any other dragons like him to suffer the same fate.
