Disease and outbreak are undoubtably bad... the curse of their flaming, burning touch could never outmach its unquenchable thirst for death. This kind of plague is different, however. The merciless Blackdeath could spread quicker, think smarter, adapt faster than any mutation before it. It began small, then rapidly burst forth like a tsunami from a raging sea, wreaking havoc and pain on all who stood in its way. Blackdeath changed inexplicably. What it once was, it was no longer, and the climbing storm roared as it took form. Took form into a dragon, slight of stature, whose very face was scarred and melted beyond recognition. A mask - that appeared silly at first - formed over their face, and all of their features were blurred, warped - almost. They could dissapear into time and space entirely if they did so desire. But they could not. They had a goal and they could not stop now that they had begun.

Blackdeath prowled the shadows and inky terrains of the land, searching for victims. Their claws were tipped in poison, and they smelled like rotten sulfur and death. Talons smoked when with the ground they met, too unatainably hot for the very earth to handle. Blackdeath's wings were torn and corrupted, peeling away and decaying, stained with gore. They had become powerful, they had killed thousands. But there were still those who stood against them. There were dragons who fought for life. Blackdeath despised them all. Once - some unnacountable time neither here, nor now, nor ever, but somehow everything at once - there was a challenger. They were powerful. Almost too powerful. The stranger, still unknown, fought Blackdeath with everything she had. She was a mighty warrior, who fought with fierce intensity that Blackdeath had never seen on a dragon before and delighted in watching. However, there was something about this dragon that was different. Blackdeath did not realize it in the beginning, how could they have? The only thing they cared about was outward appearance, not strength. But this dragon was immune to Blackdeath's plague, their power. This was the one dragon who could stop them.

And stop them she did. The mighty warrior, empowered with fear, rage, strength, and love, battled Blackdeath for hours, days, years, possibly forever and never at once. She understood the pain and affliction, and she conquered it all. With the weapon she wielded, she raked her talon down Blackdeath's mask, ripping it into shreds, and stabbed the sword into their heart, piercing all the way through its being. And the death screamed with rage.
