Biography
The whims of Zetcha and her right hand are something many of Trypan struggle with. That they would nest as Lightning's power billows was only another mystery known only to them.
Brother and sister born as Lightning's star rose to greatest power, the distant peals of thunder echoing as they hatched. This deep into Plague's heartlands they would be safe from the towering storms in the distance, but the connection, however slight, still marked them with an invisible current.
Still young, still too early for this hatchling's path to be sure. Nothing is ever set in stone within Plague's proving grounds of life, especially for the young. That this little boy will survive into adulthood is a trial in and of itself, though whatever illness befalling the youngster were some of the more common maladies that even plagueborne members are afflicted with. The faint element of storms and rain had not affected the blessing of the Decaying Mother.
Despite the markings on his body the same dark copper favored by his patron flight, this little hatchling doesn't seem to have an affinity for lightning-aspected magics. A few of the more resilient Lightning-born members of Trypan all concluded that he didn't have the usual leaning of native lightning elementals.
Usual.
Where he goes a mist follows, as he sleeps the clouds above thicken and plump with rain. His is no standard visualization of Lightning element. In fact, it seems to be centering about the stormclouds that generate it. While his sister carries far more of plague's usual calling card of magic; that hand has not deigned to anoint this young one. His magic is the mesocyclone, the derecho, the terrible power of miles of water vapor. The pressure and deep unease of distant light.
Trypan has no water mages, nobody skilled enough to even touch upon this strange manifestation of sub-element. His sister could be contained, trained. He cannot. His is a dangerous, unstable variable. And thus, he must go, to find a home before he can come to understand the one he had lost.
