Come closer, if you dare. Stand in front of me, let my mighty size shadow you from the harsh sun. Look into my eyes. Do not turn your gaze away, not for a second. Do not turn to my many wings, nor should the gold I love stumble your eyes. Look at me, look me in the heart, please. They are dark now, yes, a rare tone of Earth. But they will glow bright. Brighter then the eyes of those blessed by the Lightweaver.

Then you will see. You will see what is truly troubling you. The Weaver will pull it out from deep pits. A forgetful mind will be no match. Weather be a deeply rooted depression or a horrible event. All will be made clear to you. Or, you can turn away. Hide from your shade. Blindly go on living in a state of not knowing. And never truly seeing the problem. It is a scary sight indeed, but it is a minor thing compared to the outcome. Truth can help calm the soul. It is a bitter medicine, yet medicine nonetheless. Turning away will only be adding snake oil to the wound.

For many months I have been waiting for the Promised One. The one this power was granted to me for. I have not been told species nor gender, hatchling nor dragon. I have been told that I will know when it is them. So, I seek them out. Fear not looking into my gaze therefore, for you may very well be the Chosen One. The one prophesied to fight great beasts and save many. Why they must come to me to have their true troubles dug up, I also do not know. But I do know this, they will come, and I will know. Now look, look into my eyes. What truly is troubling you?

Once ago, Umberbelly was just a mirror pup from Earth visiting an ally Shadow lair with her mother. While there, she felt a calling. Like a guardian to their cause, she followed. Sneaking past the guards, she teleported through the portal into Light territory. Not understanding what that calling meant or where it came from, she stopped for awhile in Hewn City. The ghost town had monsters that terrified the baby mirror. Most were just spirit creatures, drooling at the thought of destruction. Though most couldn't lay a claw on her body, they left scabs and gashes in her mind. The lack of tangible predators there meant lots of carefree game though, and awhile spiraled into years.

The calling still lingered throughout the years. It became unbearable, and once again, she set out to follow. She travelled all the way to Beacon of the Radiant Eye. There she saw the awe inspiring Lightweaver, talking to someone. The call became a scream, and she ran forward. She skidded to a halt when she saw the person run away crying. The Weaver, back still turned, called for Umberbelly by name. The calling had halted. Then she gave her a gift. A blessing and a curse. Extra wings like that of the birds of the heavens. And a gift suiting an Earth dragon: The ability to not only look into the dark part of someone's past, but to show that person as well. It's terrifying for the person to see though. Weaver said that someone will come needing to do exactly that. And with that she sent her away.

Umberbelly continued to stay in light territory for awhile. Even earned enough to get a breed change and a pretty new gene. The calling had ceased though, replaced with a longing for home. And home she went. After a small meet up with the Shadow lair, she made the journey to Earth. The clan was in tears upon seeing her again. Eager to here what had happened to her. And now, she spends her days guarding the lair. Once in awhile dragons will come to her for her special sight, though it's the only way she knows how to help them. Umberbelly hopes she'll know what to do when that special person that Lightweaver told her about comes. She can only hope.
