You're heard that this mystical place, where time seems to stand still, is where the Stars are born. A legend in itself, this sacred place seems to almost be alive, filled with the magic of the Moon. The sky, clouds and stars seemed aglow in an otherworldly aura, silently asking you for your wish. You whisper your wish, your voice carrying through the silence like a melody on the breeze. Your wish whispers through the sky and surrounds a dragon couple, Spirit and Ghost. The couple are cuddled together on a soft cloud, the moonlight softly shining on them. As they watch, your wish fuses with the stardust in the air to become a star. The couple gently adds their gift, a white peony touched by the Moon, to the forming star. The star gently glows, pulsing with life and forms into an adorable hatchling.
Ghost of Halloween
Wind howls through the air, screaming, and screeching. Leaves rustle on trees when there is no wind. Voices echo around empty streets. Talons latch onto unsuspecting shoulders, but no one is there. Out of the corners of their eyes, dragons swear they see someone. Hatchlings claim to see eyes watching them from the corner of their eyes. Surely it’s not true though. Surely there are no ghastly dragons lurking in Sornieth. Surely not. Ghost of Halloween are exactly as they sound: ghosts. They are spectres; there one second, gone the next. Their scales shimmer in and out of sight, leaving just the outline of a skeletal figure. They have no ill or malicious intent though. They simply watch and observe, waiting for the great day when they can pass onto the next stage of life. Or rather, the next stage of death. Their unfinished business leaves them tethered to the land of the living, a place where the dead do not belong. They are never seen nor heard, but they leave behind a sense of dread and unease. Seen from the corners of eyes, but when fully faced, they disappear. They lurk in quiet places with few dragons, leaving dragons with tall tales to tell. |
