The bluebite rattler is a nocturnal snake that is lethally venomous. During the day, it rests in small burrows left by other animals, and at night it hunts small mammals such as mice.
The venom of the bluebite causes the bite to turn slightly blue and swell, and the victim may experience mild hallucinations. If not treated within a few hours, the victim will die.
