Toa's fingers dance over silver strings, her voice by turns soft as a moth's wing, bold as a god's decree. She sits, cradled by cushions, nursing a massive lap harp, her comb plucking while she harmonizes with chords and melodies. The harp alone is nothing. Her voice adds and layers, and the world around her falls away to mist that swallows her as well. She cannot hold the songspells as dearly as her teacher, young as she is, but each day she spends training is another day towards strength and the lightness her songs provide her. She weaves them, layering her voice with the story bound to music, performing spells of healing, valor, shelter, and calm. As she learns, her work will only grow in skill, her voice developing the deep timbre and split tones necessary to cast more intricate magic, which she pursues relentlessly. Still, a haunting gauntness lingers beneath Toa's bold presence, something a casual observer may not at first notice. Her cheeks are too stark, her knobby fingers shaky when not managing her strings and comb, and it is only by intense focus that she may dedicate herself so distinctly to her art. Afterwards, she is spent and must rest, lest she be nearly consumed once more. She had been sick once. Now, through the ministrations of Oakrest's healers, she is merely sickly, her constitution shattered as she walks the long road of recovery. She is most often found among travelers, learning their tales, hearing of the world she longed to travel before her symptoms became too strong for her to manage on the road. If not there, she is in the company of other artists, collaborating and honing her craft. And lastly, when she feels hale enough to manage it, she keeps the company of her sister-friend, Katterin, and the two can be heard giggling sometimes well into the night.

Traveling scholar / bard, learning story-magic
- Sometimes mistaken for Katterin's sister - they've become good friends over this
- Caught some NASTY infection for a time and hasn't fully recovered



-Left home - rest of family very science and production oriented, but she wants to see the world and experience life's gifts
-Learned instruments and some talent for story weaving
-traveled around arcane for a while so she's close enough to go home in cacse of a problem
-decides she needs to find a teacher who has time for her and needs to move on to other places in search
-eventually moves on to earth
-y'know bc snappers are good storytellers gotta be a good one around here right?
-has been feeling weaker and more tired but is DRIVEN to do the thing and learn the stuff she wants to learn
-pretty much collapses while visiting the little acorn inn / shattered plain surrounding
-odds & osteo are very of the opinion she must remain and REST AND RECOVER. she starts a lot of treatment trying to regain her strength
- studies under lorn & bier - voice lessons, harmonics, stories, drone, legends, etc
-gathers stories from anyone who will talk to her
