The members of the Seasonal Courts are not-quite-dragons that reside on the other side of the veil. The world they live in is more fluid than Sorienth; space and time don't work very reliably. You can enter it on one side of the world and exit in in a day's walk, but you can also spend years traveling only to end up in the same place you entered. Members of the Courts are similar to dragons in the same way that faeries are similar to humans, so that's what they're called.

All faeries are vain, but the Summer Court is the most vain of them all. Self-absorbed and petty, they gossip as easily as they breathe. The bright light of the summer sun highlights all imperfections, but many things can be hidden just below the surface of the ocean. The Summer Court is most well known for granting questing dragons perfection, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
