Her scales may be blacker than midnight, but under her obsidian layers, Alya's heart is made of pure gold. Many in her clan call her a gentle giant, and with good reason. The "moon angel" specializes in healing, both physical injuries and emotional. Despite her dark, possibly intimidating exterior, she has a calming aura that can make even the most anxious dragon become more relaxed in her presence. Some say that it's a mysterious Imperial magic that only Imperials command. Some attribute it to the soothing purple tones against her dark scales, and some simply cite that her easy-going, down-to-earth personality is the real secret. Whatever it is, it isn't uncommon to find her having in-depth one-on-one chats with other dragons both in and out of her clan. When she isn't helping to heal, the other job that takes most of her time is watching the hatchlings. Alya's gentle nature makes her quite popular with the youngsters, and with many of the other dragons of her clan constantly out visiting other clans or otherwise occupying themselves with the day-to-day duties of running the clan, it falls to her to keep the babies out of trouble. As with all children, some days are worse than others. This is when her size and color help her out a little more. She can be intimidating when she wants, and when she decides to be, then she commands a certain respect that even many of the adults will bow to. Luckily, however, she does not have to worry about using this too often. Mess with her kids or her family, and she immediately turns into a mother bear, just ten times larger and twenty times stronger. Stay on her good side, and she will always be gentle, caring Alya. --- Similar to her scales, Alya's history seems to be shrouded in dark mystery. Very few know all the secrets to this female Imperial's true origin, and those who do know are more likely to turn into pocket mice than they are to share that information. The general knowledge in the clan is that, like many of the other clan members, she was found and taken in as a hatchling by none other than the Queen Seleya herself. She came around the same time as the two other senior Imperials, Renshaw and Moon, and the three always seem to stick pretty close together despite being slightly different ages. The source of her magical abilities that she uses for healing are also unknown, as is how she learned to use and control them. Most of the clan simply accept that because she is an Imperial, it is some kind of Imperial magic that she instinctively knew how to use. Every so often, hints that this is not the case are dropped, but they always seem to be quickly covered up and forgotten.
