Biography
╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
"I have forgiven; and I will continue to forgive." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ They razed her home to the ground - they burnt and blazed everything she knew and held close to her heart. They trampled the flowers, killed the unlucky who had been left behind, and left a trail of crimson and an aura of death wherever they went. None were spared, not even the hatchlings. Blood, filth, and the sourness of rotting flesh filled the air with such a foul smell that made her puke countless times. But she had nowhere to go - she could only hide in a crevice where they could not see her, where they would not check. Day after day she curled up in her hole, shivering in that claustrophobic nightmare of a hiding spot. Their footsteps never ceased; always accompanied by the sounds of chains and cold, cold metal. Until one day it stopped. It ceased, and the war in the air faded. They left. She emerged, slowly, cautiously, but with a heart full of hope. Her wings never stopped till she was sure she had left the Viridian Ladybrinth, but it was then she met another of her kind - another Veilspun, bearing the same colors as she, lying in a pool of crimson, breathing what would've been its last breaths. A broken sword sat nearby, with the markings of the clan that had wiped out hers. She immediately knew she had to help. Having been trained in the ways of the Nature Flight and everything plant-related, she knew what to do. Cobwebs would stop the bleeding, with a mix of aloe vera and honey to treat its wounds, and yarrow to treat its fever that came soon after. When it stabilized, she would take the time to scavenge for proper medical equipment. "You-.. saved me?" were the first few words the Veilspun uttered when his eyelids fluttered open. "... why do you sound surprised?" She had replied softly, unfazed by the question, but curious as to why he would think that way. He had merely shaken his bandaged head, sighing when he saw the shades of her olive eyes. "Never mind." He had murmured, before turning away upon a makeshift bed. Moonlight filtered through the cave's crevices, while Veila sat beside him with nothing but a comfortable silence and a fragment of a broken sword in her claws.
