Biography
Spirals are known to be active creatures. When they're excited, they twist themselves into wonderous shapes, their snake-like flexibility lending itself to be easily malleable. Words come fast, thoughts race at a thousand miles a minute, and it isn't surprising for a spiral to fall from the sky, asleep, without warning.
Spirals twist themselves up into knots when they're restless or anxious or even a little too bored. Spirals tangle themselves around whatever surface they can find while they sleep so that they don't fall. Spirals are active, loud, and chatty.
Bugham is not one of those dragons.
At least, not entirely. There are always exceptions to dragons, after all.
Bugham talks a lot, and he talks loudly and passionately, but he is mindful. He's learned to be mindful over the many years working the circus circuit, directing wily beasts to perform wonderous tricks before eventually finding himself responsible for the circus at large. Spirals twist themselves up when they're restless or anxious or even simply bored, but Bugham's coils by comparison form waves after waves that tighten and tighten until it hurts.
Bugham talks a lot, and he talks loudly and passionately, but he can also talk very little. He's learned to be mindful of other people, slow his pace to match with patience, hold a cup of tea between his paws. He's learned to listen to other people. Most of all, Bugham's learned to listen to himself.
So, yes. Bugham is a spiral. But it would be cruel to say that every single dragon has to be the same.
Bugham doesn't like tea. He prefers coffee, but someone he knows very well likes tea very much.
