Kuri is an incarnation of Adiris, a priestess who used to try to protect denizens from a plague that swept several civilizations decades to centuries ago. They were unable to overcome it, and eventually, even Kuri was overtaken by the plague. She (Adiris) bore incense in order to cover the stench. Now, as an incarnation in Sorneith, Kuri bears incense and strives to fight off all disease.
