MIGOR
loremaster | bearer of the light | he/him
youngest child of the darkened sun
eldest sibling | middle sibling

ABOUT
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
Over the course of its ageless lifetime, the Darkened Sun, Au, has spawned three progeny. The youngest of these is Migor, who was born in the teeming, bustling days after the closing of the Third Age, during dragonkind's earliest inception. Of all his siblings, Migor is the closest in temperament and appearance to a normal dragon, closely resembling a coatl with a denser, shaggier build. He doesn't remember the earlier ages, except for brief sense memories glimpsed through his link to his parent, but honestly, he doesn't mind. His memories of draconic history are expansive enough to fill endless libraries.

Migor is a historian, and living history himself in some ways. He inherited a photographic memory from his parent, and has traveled Sorineth extensively since his inception, recording everything he sees and hears for future generations. Despite his unnaturally long life, the novelty of dragons still hasn't worn off, his curiosity about his closest cousins being seemingly endless. He is old enough to remember a time before the Eleven began crafting the raw elements into spawn resembling their own images. He knows how quiet it is possible for the world to be, how empty, how wild. And he remembers the first few tentative steps of dragons, first hiding in secluded dens close to their patrons' seats of power, then gradually taking wing and spreading the elemental magics to all corners of the globe.

Migor was present when the first ground was broken at the mighty quarries of Terraclae. He remembers when the Sunportal and Moonportal were heavily traveled trade routes between their often conflicted realms. When Cinderslag was still a booming smithing town, a land of golden opportunity, he watched the Stormcatcher's thorny progeny haul endless caravans of freshly bound copper wire to the Stormcatch Sanctum. The tremors when its sacred crystal was finally shut away within the depths of the new generator threatened to end the age before it began, and the aftershocks of that sudden imbalance echoed for generations.

From the bitter, barren halls of the Fortress of Ends, to the gilded, humming dazzle of the Tourmaline archives, Migor has studied extensively, and donated copies of his most notable memories to most of Sorineth's notable institutions of learning, bound in heavy scrolls packed with his dense, tidy scrawl. Aside from long life, uncanny luck, and impeccable memory, Migor is no more notably magical than most dragons. His elder siblings, who pull their life force from the bottomless well of a bound star, do not mingle well with others in the modern age, being more concerned with the leylines and unseen currents that shape the fates of the cosmos. Migor just likes good company, good food, and new experiences. He likes to listen to stories, and tell them on occasion. To the undiscerning eye, the most remarkable thing about him is his familiar, a Light Sprite he befriended when their numbers were still quite common who has been his scribe and traveling companion throughout most of his years. But to those who notice such things, there's a certain glint to his faceted eyes, a depth to his voice, that betray his wisdom and his hard-earned experience.

Migor cannot be pinned down, he is a free spirit, and changeable as the wind. He goes where he will, and has allies in every one of the eleven regions to host him when he turns up. But time and again, he returns to the Galehart clan, where many of his dearest friends will welcome him home in any season. For reasons unknown to him, his parent has taken a liking to a few of these dragons, and the odds of getting to see it, or his siblings, are higher among the Galeharts than anywhere else. Though, being the youngest, Migor has always felt slightly apart from the rest of his family, more worldly, he bears the light, and bears its history, out of loyalty and duty to those who have helped shape the world he loves so much.
