With a screeching song, the fragments of the factory's metal floor came loose and assembled around Karl. He strode closer with triumphant confidence, the taste of certain victory apparently on his flickering, forked tongue. The other Coatl before him, where before was swaggering confidence and chirruping insults, now cowered with a flattening crest and a soft, choked cheep.

"All right, brat. Let's dance." Karl's voice rasped and hissed, the furthest from what Coatl language usually sounded. Perhaps closer to the clanging and scraping of the metal contorting around him.
