Biography

KNIGHT
THE BUTLER

muted - calm - mysterious

PERSONALITY
Once upon a time, Knight was a cheerful, exuberant young hostess-in-training at the Stormview Resort. Though she hadn't been there long, her love of her job and instant friendliness had already given her a good reputation among her fellow employees and their customers, and she was well on her way to becoming a permanent fixture of the establishment.

That is, until the Disaster struck.

Decades later, when the resort at long last reopened its doors, Knight would be the first thing new guests saw. Instead of cheerful and exuberant, she was calm. Friendly, but not overly so. Muted, as though some crucial part of her had simply vanished in the storm.

HISTORY
Long, long ago, so long that many dragons have nearly forgotten, the Stormview Resort graced the slopes of the Thundering Mountain. Tall, dark, and regal, the snowy retreat was once a popular getaway for rich dragons and wayward souls, featuring a number of well-kept ski slopes and comfortable, elementally-attuned bedrooms with fixtures for any breed.

No one is quite sure what happened to those old grounds. Some say the owner was practicing dark magic, twisting the Shade to their whim, and that the Icewarden had claimed them and the entire grounds alongside them. Others claim that such thoughts are superstition- a hatchling's tale!- and that Stormview's disappearance was much more mundane, a result of lack of funds or interest. Still more seem to think a harsh blizzard and an avalanche had done it in, burying the slopes and the lodge itself under so much permafrost it could never be recovered.

Whatever the cause, Stormview hadn't been seen or heard of in decades. Until, all at once, reports started coming in about an unknown manor somewhere on the Thundering Mountain, and a purple-eyed dragon calmly waiting the front desk, patient as the snow.
