Tyfli was rescued from a caravan of illegal dragonets that were to be sold in the black market. Stain and Ink attacked the caravan and slaughtered the dragons running it. However, in the chaos Tyfli lots his eyesight do to a mix of bright magic flashes and wood shards getting stuck in them.
Once the slave drivers were killed, the hatchlings were brought to the nearest orphanage. Tyfli, however, was brought back to Ink's lair to recuperate. he was named after his unfortunate condition as a reminder to the clan's warriors to think of everyone involved and what could happen with brash action.
Nowadays Tyfli enjoys collecting information on everything and spending lavish amounts of the clan's money on books for sightless dragons- a new asset to increase his yearning knowledge. Tyfli serves as an adviser to his clan-mates. He tends to think his actions and words through before going through with them. He is an acceptable fighter, though he prefers to stay in the clan's library.
The autumn Dryad that follows him is quite intelligent, capable of simple sentences in dragon-tongue and can write. she helps Tyfli with his tasks and also guides him around obstacles. His quarters are unnaturally clean and orderly, everything in a proper place so he can access all of hiss belongings without asking somedragon to find it for him. the library is almost as orderly, and Tyfli is slowly trying to get the lair a bit more orderly.
