Kalomenato has a soft heart and kind personality. His position of leadership has often been challenged because those who don't know him think he's weak and won't fight back. In reality, when his clan is threatened, Kal can call upon powers from Beyond - which often results in the erasure of his foe's very existence.

Kal was devastated and heartbroken when Sylphide decided to leave the clan to fight for Plaguebringer. In his grief, only one dragon brought him any semblance of comfort - a wondering wildclaw named Somartan. Though unexpected, Soma's companionship and devotion made Kal feel whole again, and as the clan grew and demanded more from it's lone leader, it only made sense for Kal to ask Soma to officially become his mate and co-leader.

When Syl returned, Kal didn't know how to feel - so much had changed, and not just in the clan, but Syl herself felt like a completely different dragon. It took a while to accept things, but with Soma and Syl getting along surprisingly well, Kal eventually settled into the changes and looks forward to continuing to grow his clan with the ones he loves most. The others in Zanaria were initially cautious of having three leaders, but in the end, the whole clan is so much stronger for it.
