SOLDAT or simply Solda (which she prefers, she hates her name. Why did it have to be in all caps too??) is probably the dragon with the most piercing eyes in the lair. She's very inhibited about them so whenever she talks to dragons who don't really know her she tends to let her long bangs fall over her eyes. As a hatchling she used to do that all the time but wound up walking into all kinds of corners and caretakers, and since she was always rather heavy that was a problem.

Whenever she does talk with someone you'll see her avert her eyes, so to not stare at them. She's excellent at reading expressions, and the other dragons always seem shocked when she looks at them directly, so she lets her gaze wander to the ground or anywhere BUT their eyes.

She had left all her previous lairs for the same reason. She was the outcast, some dragons even started to be mean to her. And it did not take long until she noticed it would be the same here. That her eyes were too weird again.

It's hard for her. Solda is a very romantic dragon with lots of passion and love to give, but she has no one to give it to, not even friends. She would like to have someone to give it to, like a friend or maybe even a lover that's why she keeps changing lairs. But on top of her eyes being weird, she's nowhere near as pretty as most Gaolers she knows, with their bright beautiful fur, that's long and healthy and you'd love to cuddle up in it, nah Solda knows she's too timid for anyone to even consider it. What if she smelled weird too? That would be the deathblow, no one wants a partner who smells weird. She take so many baths just to at least keep her hygiene up.

Until she had a panic attack at the lake because Bylew showed up unexpectedly. They had briefly talked before and she didn't sense any harmful intent but boy her body went into overdrive that morning, leaving her gasping on the floor like a dying fish. It was embarassing but more than that it was frightening. At first she thought she saw him leave with that worry all over his face. And still she would have begged for help if her lungs allowed her to and seeing him retracting made her feel terrible. So she was even more surprised when their horns clung together with a force she'd never felt before, basically hauling her back into reality.

They didn't talk much after that. She had washed the dirt off her fur as he kind of watched, thousands of thoughts smashing through his brain probably. She could see it in his eyes. Dunking her head under water and shaking her head one more time she emerges from the water again, and he led her back to the lair, without many words, but still she could feel his compassion.
